Recent reviews strongly echo that low-stress setup: owners mention being kept away from other animals in separate sections, and staff taking extra time with anxious or reactive pets (including a fearful rescue dog leaving with a “tail wagging”). Several reviewers also describe clear, unhurried communication, plus practical touches like WhatsApp messaging for easier contact and a calm clinic environment.
There is also a sharp negative outlier: one reviewer describes “incompetent and unprofessional service” and alleges dissatisfaction with the complaints process, while most other recent reviews are very positive.

We took our elderly cat to Harrison’s on a Saturday, and from the moment we arrived the environment felt calm, quiet, and genuinely reassuring. The practice is thoughtfully set out with small, separate sections, meaning you’re kept away from other animals something I found incredibly considerate, especially for an older and more vulnerable pet. We were seen by a vet called Yvette, who was nothing short of wonderful. She was so gentle and tender with our girl, treating her with real compassion and dignity. What meant the most to us was that she did not dismiss or judge us for choosing a more natural, homeopathic approach to healing her injury. In the past, we’ve been made to feel spoken down to or scolded for this by other vets, but here we were listened to, respected, and supported. Our experience at Harrison’s truly exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, they saw our cat as an individual not just her age and were focused on helping her, not writing her off. I honestly couldn’t recommend Harrison’s highly enough.

Very poor and extremely incompetent and unprofessional service from Harrison’s vet such and I do not recommend them. I formally referred them to their professional regulator, namely, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, as they whitewash complaints and do not investigate them fairly, impartially, competently or properly and exonerate themselves. I do not trust them with my dog and am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with them.

I have a very large breed dog that even though he hadn't done anything wrong our previous vet was scared of. Hes a rescue so needs lots of time, patience and encouragement. After a bad experience at our previous vets we decided to change to a no fear vet and found Harrisons. He had his 1st visit this week and came out with his tail wagging. There was no pressure and he was made to feel completely comfortable. I can't recommend enough, if you have a fearful dog

Superb vet clinic. Truly caring and highly professional vets work here (Yvette and Paul)! Kayla is a friendly and efficient receptionist. My cat was previously treated by another vet practise in Woodley who were awful. The change was the best thing I did. I just wish I had been with Harrington’s before when my cat fell ill. They spent time getting to know my cat. Making her feel relaxed. Yvette even played piano music and gave her treats! The vets explain everything very clearly. They have WhatsApp, making contact so much easier. Harrington’s are an outstanding veterinary practise with such wonderful staff. Completely faultless. The reception is very clean and has a fresh feeling. It’s a great lay out, again to help relax your beloved pets. (Pic attached) I highly recommend Harrington’s they’re the best!

Leaving a review on behalf of my grandparents Marje & Jim: “We were very satisfied with the care and service we received for our little dog Mckenzie at this vets. The team were always professional, kind, and carried themselves with great compassion — even during the most difficult times. They made a very hard experience that bit more bearable with their support and empathy. We wouldn’t hesitate to return if we get another dog in the future. Thank you.”

We have just lost our beloved cat Otto, and Harrison’s have been amazing throughout his short illness. They came out to us to carry out his at home euthanasia and were so lovely, we didn’t feel rushed at all and Otto went peacefully in the sun on the lawn in our garden. We have just had a delivery from them to send their condolences which has honestly blown us away. Thank you so much for caring for our precious boy at a time that was so difficult for us. I know our dog Nutmeg is in good hands for whatever she may need. Thank you xx
