Very poor and extremely incompetent and unprofessional service from Harrison’s vet such and I do not recommend them. I formally referred them to their professional regulator, namely, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, as they whitewash complaints and do not investigate them fairly, impartially, competently or properly and exonerate themselves. I do not trust them with my dog and am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with them. As they whitewash complaints, it’s in the public interest that customers raise any concerns with their professional regulator, namely The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, directly as this will ensure a fair, independent and impartial investigation takes place and animal welfare is safeguarded. They are already under the radar of the RCVS so scrutiny is paramount to protect our pets and their owners from incompetence, unethical and unprofessional practice. This veterinary practice has proactively tried to remove this review on multiple occasions because they don’t want honest, open and candid information and feedback in the public domain. Be very careful before you use them.

Mixed bag…. Computer says no seems to be a default answer

Although this is not my vet practice, as I live in North Lincolnshire. I have to post that I was very impressed with their genuine kindness. I was in Reading for a small break and had forgotten to pack my diabetic dogs needles. After realising the error, I called vets in the area in panic and they were not helpful at all. Harrison’s saved the day, got me the correct needles and didn’t even charge. This is a rare characteristic these days, very thankful for their kindness and it is clear they are a genuine vet practice, Highly recommend!!!

I’m very grateful to Dr Mark for his excellent care of my Teddy Dwerg rabbit, Mochi. Mochi had an eyelid injury and I was very worried, but Dr Mark handled him gently and confidently, cleaned the area thoroughly, and helped open the eye safely. He explained everything clearly and reassured me that Mochi was not blind. I really appreciated his calm, professional manner and the care he showed throughout the visit. Highly recommended.

We took our elderly cat to Harrison’s on a Saturday, and from the moment we arrived the environment felt calm, quiet, and genuinely reassuring. The practice is thoughtfully set out with small, separate sections, meaning you’re kept away from other animals something I found incredibly considerate, especially for an older and more vulnerable pet. We were seen by a vet called Yvette, who was nothing short of wonderful. She was so gentle and tender with our girl, treating her with real compassion and dignity. What meant the most to us was that she did not dismiss or judge us for choosing a more natural, homeopathic approach to healing her injury. In the past, we’ve been made to feel spoken down to or scolded for this by other vets, but here we were listened to, respected, and supported. Our experience at Harrison’s truly exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, they saw our cat as an individual not just her age and were focused on helping her, not writing her off. I honestly couldn’t recommend Harrison’s highly enough.
